Comment:Why does the simic charm have the gruul symbol on it
Author: PWLAdmin

Thanks Niv MIzzet!

Comment:old borborygmos is way better. still funny that it's name is derived from a legitimate medical term for 'stomach grumbling'

Comment:Obviously you haven't heard of sysemic assault.
Author: Zombieman
Comment:Can bloodrush to be used to pump up Wild Beastmaster before her ability triggers or no?
Author: Zephan
Comment:think of a biovisionary/cackling counterpart populate deck.
Author: PWLAdmin
Comment:I think when you declare her as an attacker her ability will go on the stack, at which point you can respond with bloodrush. I think the +x/+x will be checked once her ability resolves. So, yes I think it can.
Author: furfur93
Comment:I want to see more dimir mill cards somethin devastating like glimpse the unthinkable cheap and greatly effective
Author: Jackson
Comment:im playing cackling populate. But i don't think biovisionary has a place in any standard deck..

Comment:Dorks, card draw, biovisionary, Infinite Reflection ;P
Author: Hmm
Comment:dose cipher stack?
i mean when you cast a spell with cipher, and encode it on a creature that will then deal damage thus triggering cipher and you cast the spell again, includeing the cipher ability? you know makeing it encode the same spell on another creature or the same creature again? and again?
Author: anosmianAcrimony
Comment:Currently the title for the card Prime Speaker Zegana reads "Prime Speaker _of_ Zegana". Would someone please rectify this?
Author: PWLAdmin
Comment:Thanks for catching that and letting us know. We've corrected the title in our system.
Author: PWLAdmin
Comment:Since part of the cost of the Cipher ability is exiling the card, I don't think you can use the Cipher ability once the spell has been encoded on a creature.
Author: anosmianAcrimony
Comment:Wow, that was quick. You're welcome!
Author: Zephan
Comment:Hear me out, go primarily two colors, green and blue, splash in white. Counterpart, Sundering Growth (Sideboard), Druid's Deliverance, O-Ring, Bonds of Faith, Biovisionary, Thragtusk, Trostani, Arbor Elf, Breeding Pool, Temple Garden, Avacyn's Pilgrim, Hinterland Harbor etc. It's an impressive ramp, good control, strong offense, and foreseeable win condition.
Author: Rasputin101
Comment:Pongify's a blue destroy that's been around for ages. Same effect but you gt an ape instead of a frog lizard. Love them both
Author: Senyac
Comment:You can and it does stack
Author: PWLAdmin
Comment:Maybe we're reading the question wrong but you cannot encode the copy of the spell with Cipher. If the spell gets cast then encoded on a creature and that creature deals damage, you can cast a copy of the spell for free, but you will not get to encode that copy of it on another (or the same) creature. However, the original copy does stay encoded on the creature, meaning you can cast it again for free again the next time the creature deals combat damage to a player.
Author: Donnie Adams
Comment:hey can you Cipher a Keyrune....???
Author: Donnie Adams
Comment:an unblockable keyrune on cipher is over powered but not something you would think to be a permanent effect on a keyrune
Author: Hideki
Comment:How does Nightveil Specter hability works? If it's a land card I can play it too? when I play it, it banish or I can keep playing it for the rest of the game?
Author: BOOOBAAKABOOSH
Comment:you may play it even if it is a land but you cannot if you played a land that turn
Author: Hideki
Comment:And I can play it from that point until the end of the game?
Author: Violinwarlord
Comment:any ideas for edh decks
Author: hideki
Comment:Ooze Flux, imagine if you already have 4 or 5 creatures with Evolve... you can create a 4/4 creature with 1G... will be nice to play in pre...
Author: Hammerfall18
Comment:Just thought about a fun combo of enter the infinite and omniscience ^^
Author: Andrew
Comment:Besides Aurelia's Fury, I gotta give the win to Simic. I honestly think it'll be the best/most fun guild to play.
Author: Dusty Wilson
Comment:If the creature that has a ciphered card dies, it would act like an enchantment and hit the graveyard as well?
Author: PWLAdmin
Comment:Since the encoded spell is just a copy of the original it just ceases to exist, much like when a token creature dies. The actual card that has the Cipher ability must be exiled in order to use Cipher.
Author: Joker
Comment:Yes, with silverblade paladin of course !
Author: furfur93
Comment:Why is Niv mizzet in this set any way that card should of been in rtr. They could of at least left it for dragons maze.
Author: misterguy
Comment:somebody tell me why the orhov are good
Author: BRGW Player
Comment:Aurelia with gisela. For a white red deck. One down side is you'd have to keep board control for a good while.
Author: pastagod
Comment:yes you can but you must first use the two manna ability to turn the key-rune into a creature before you can cipher because the ability cipher requires you to target a creature the question I have is whether or not it still stays on the key-rune when it turns back into a artifact
Author: furfur93
Comment:With the extort ability do you have to pay that one mana for each card that has extort or one manat for all cards in play that have it?
Author: PWLAdmin
Comment:You can pay 1 for each instance of extort. For each 1 you pay your opponents will lose 1 life and you will gain 1 life. Lets say you have 3 creatures with extort and you cast a spell. You can choose to pay up to 3 mana. If you only pay 2, then your opponents would lose 2 life and you'd gain 2.
Author: furfur93
Comment:I do not see how this guild even stands a chance against the rest if that's the casethey have nothing good they basically wasted their time even thinking about the orzhov
Author: furfur93
Comment:Well if you throw in quicksilver amulet it could very well speed up the process
Author: Zephyr
Comment:Enter the Infinite/mana ramp?
Author: Maximus
Comment:if you have at last 3 creatures with extort (you have nice commons with extort to use), anything you cast of low mana on late game will become in a lighting helix to the face, i really like the ability into sealed mode.
P.D: It's great for sealed but you wont make a deck around extort in other decks
Author: Maximus
Comment:Fun yes, but not powerful.
Author: Dunamos
Comment:Alms Beast confuses me. Why is it rare?
Author: Lucasix
Comment:Simic has the worest cards in this block...
Author: Lucasix
Comment:You can or you must to do it ! ;)

Comment:I redid some of the cards that had bad imaging in their original upload in Magic Set editor:

Comment:Actually the fastest way would be to use Cackling Counterpart and Paralell Lives, Seance, and growing ranks, Rootborn Defense, Druids Deliverance, and Jarad's orders, Treasured Find, Grizzly Salvage, Mulch, Unburial Rites.
Author: Guest
Comment:I don't know why not one person that talks about Biovisionary and Cackling counterpart, does not think about or mention, Parallel Lives.
So the fastest way to win with this would be to use Cackling Counterpart and
Parallel Lives, Seance, Growing Ranks, Rootborn Defense, Druid's
Deliverance, and Jarad's orders, Treasured Find, Grizzly Salvage, Mulch,
Unburial Rites.
Because of how Seance works with Growing Ranks, When the triggers are put on the stack correctly, the second token that would be created by Growing ranks, stays around.
Also remember, Biovisionary just says the End Step, so whose turn it is, does not matter. And because Druids Deliverance and Rootborn Defense are both instants, if you Seance in a copy of Biovisionary with a Parallel Lives on the battlefield on your opponents turn, if they cannot get rid of it, cast rootborn defense, and or Druid's Deliverance during the opponents end step, it's pretty much an instant win.

Comment:Why is my comment posted 2 times and why am I being labeled as Zephan?
Author: Matthew Collins
Comment:Instead of that which is good I guess why not Cipher and Glaring Spotlight
Author: Evan
Comment:Mana ramp to Omniscience to Enter the Infinite to Psychic Spiral. Good game,
Author: Ste
Comment:Yes it works the same way counters do
Author: Ste
Comment:No for the simple reason that every card will be broken
Author: Zephyr
Comment:There are always going to be extremely bad rares/mythics in any set. Just because it's rare doesn't mean it's good.
Author: Zephyr
Comment:Does that mean that the spell copy has cipher? Oh my God, think of the possibilities! Invisible Stalker/Stolen Identity/Thragtusk would be even more OP!
Author: Zephyr
Comment:Even with Omniscience, if I kill you before you can play Enter the Infinite, I win.
Author: PWLAdmin
Comment:You cannot use Cipher on the copy of the spell since there is no card to exile. Check out Wizards of the Coast's article on Gatecrash Mechanics. The 3rd bullet point under the cipher section states "The copies created by the triggered ability can't be encoded on a creature."

Comment:Kaalia or Vorosh the Hunter. We have Gisela, Battalion, Aurelia, Rakdos, Lord of the Void, Angelic Skirmisher, Deathpact Angel, Firemane Avenger...... Need I say more?
Vorosh goes Master Biomancer, Death's Presence, and any other stuff that adds/multiplies +1/+1 counters.
Author: Zephyr
Comment:It If it's in creature form. It pops off after the turn ends.
Author: Zephyr
Comment:I actually think that Dimir wins, just because of Cipher/Invisible Stalker/Lord of the Void/Glaring Spotli-
Glaring Spotlight/Assassin tokens. And the gold goes to Golgari! Or more specifically, Vraska......
Author: Matthew Collins
Comment:In case anyone is interested I've already compiled an entire spoiler out of everything that's been released so far as well as I've used Magic Set editor to fix the pictures on a few of the cards that were just photos.

Comment:Because it can be mean. any extra mana can go into triggers, and because you are gaining life, your opponent will have t deal with that, all the while losing life themselves. I'm thinking, at least in limited, decks with lots of low cost extort cards, so that you can focus on extort triggers instead of big creatures.
Author: Noname
Comment:cipher isnt like an enchantment which can only be attached to a specific permanent type.
Think of it as more like Imprint. The cipher card is removed from the game and imprinted on a permanent, wether the permanent changes type the imprint stays regardless
Author: Vic20
Comment:That really doesn't seem much faster than a few mana dorks, play a biovisionary, and then win with an infinite reflection.
Author: D
Comment:would exquisite blood and vizkopa's guildmage work?

Comment:thank you SO MUCH for responding its great to know there is a card seller who cares about his customers
Author: nicol bolas
Comment:could PWL make it so your mana points dont expire
and a great idea is for advanced search to have a in stock option
Author: PWLAdmin
Comment:With the 1 year anniversary of our reward points program coming up we will be reviewing and evaluating its performance. We may decide to make some changes based on that evaluation (and we may not). We will certainly announce any chances we make as we make them.
We also have a re-design of our advanced search page planned for early this year. We will definitely consider your request for adding an 'in-stock' option to the set of filters.
Thank you so much for your feedback and suggestions! We love hearing from our customers and visitors on how we can make Planeswalker's Library a better experience for everyone!

Comment:Totally Lost is the best magic card ever. Hands down. There is now a power 10.
Author: Killerlay
Comment:So, for Signal the Clans, what happens if I DON'T choose three cards of different names? Do they go to the graveyard? Or do they get shuffled back in? I know there is a combo in there somewhere...
Author: jeff
Comment:tease it
Author: PWLAdmin
Comment:If you reveal 3 (or even 2) with the same name then they all get shuffled back into your library.
Author: Dustin Thomas
Comment:What is an ideal deck to make for the prerelease?
Author: Rusty
Comment:Quick question, would cipher and extort work together? Let's say I run Shadow Slice and encode it, if I deal damage with the encoded creature, would I be able to extort for the spell activated?
Author: PWLAdmin
Comment:Based on the reminder texts for each you should be able to.
Author: Shabang
Comment:not really. turn 1 experiment one turn two shambleshark. turn three drakewing krasis. turn four master biomancer. turn 5 bioshift three counters from experiment one onto biomancer. then every creature put onto the battlefield gets 5 1/1 counters
Author: JK
Comment:Actually regarding that second token with Seance, whenever a token is put into play that is a copy of another token, it retains the same conditions of the original. For example, putting an Angel token into play with Geist of Saint Traft and populating it, the second token would come into play tapped and attacking, but leave play at the end of turn as well. Same with Thatcher Revolt, etc...
