Can I assume that the card does not need to be revealed if your opponent guesses incorrectly?

Correct, you can choose not to cast the card if your opponent guesses incorrectly, in which case you don't have to reveal it. From the Magic 2015 Core Set release notes, "If you don't cast the card, either because the player guessed right or because you choose not to cast it, you don't have to reveal it. Your opponent won't know the reason you didn't cast the card."

That's what I thought. Because that's the case, I especially like how your opponent's guess reveals what their fear is and what they think your strategy is. Which, in turn, may reveal how they plan to deal with it. I love cards with built in mind games.

That's exactly what the guest designer of this card had in mind. Here's a quote from the guest designer, David Sirlin, "A lot of my work in game design has been about the concept of yomi, which is about reading the opponent. Knowing that they know you know they know, and all that. So here is a card that explores that concept." To check out his original design plus some of the other guest designer cards, read this article from Wizards of the Coast. http://magic.wizards.com/en/ar...
