I'm relatively new to this game, but this seems like a significant downgrade compared to past Jace's.

It certainly is less powerful than some previous Jace cards, but its unlikely we'll ever see planeswalkers that powerful again. He's certainly different from more recent Jace cards, but not necessarily worse. Especially when you consider that he only costs 4 mana and starts at 5 loyalty. He's the only planeswalker so far to give you that much loyalty for 4 mana.

What do you thinkthe price outlook will be? Jace doesn't seem as good compared to the new M15 Ajani nor the M15 Nissa.

He certainly doesn't seem as powerful as the new Ajani or Nissa. His price will probably stay about the same or drop a little unless someone finds some really powerful combos using him. Then his price could go way up. That's kinda what happened with Jace, the Mind Sculptor.
