guest7865: It looks mono green to me. There is no black in the "Garruk Relentless" casting cost, and there is actually no casting cost for "Garruk, the Veil-Curse"... it just has an activated ability (or whatever you call it for a Planeswalker) that creates a black creature after it has been transformed.
While this looks like a great card for use with Coat of Arms as part of a Wolf deck (with a cheap casting cost), it occurs to me that it could be dangerous to ever use the first ability of "Garruk Relentless", because even a 1/1 creature targetted by that ability could be pumped up by an opponent's instant to a power of 3 to kill "Garruk Relentless" outright before you ever get a chance to transform him into his cooler cousin (and there's no way to increase the loyalty counters for "Garruk Relentless"). So I figure the best bet is to hit him yourself for 1 point (by whatever means) the moment he hits the board to transform him into "Garruk Relentless", who can immediately return 1 loyalty point (returning him to 3) while creating a 1/1 black wolf with deathtouch as a bonus.

It suddenly occurred to me: As a practical matter how are you ever supposed to actually play with this card in your deck? It has no "back" so the text of the card (one side or the other) is displayed as it sits in your deck. Even if you use sleeves with an opaque backing, you would have to pull him out of his sleeve every time you want to transform him... awkward.

Wizards of the Coast's solution is to use the Checklist Token thrown into most booster packs. You're suppose to mark which card the token represents and put the token in your deck in place of the actual card. Then, if you draw and play the token, you can swap it out for the actual card.
We have mixed feelings about the new double-faced cards. What are your feelings?
