New Mechanics of Journey into Nyx
The release of Journey into Nyx, the third and final set in the Theros block, is just around the corner. And a new set means new card mechanics. Here's a quick look at all the new mechanics in Journey into Nyx and how they work.

Constellation — Whenever <cardname> or another enchantment enters the battlefield under your control, <cool effect happens>.
Obviously the effect of cards with constellation will differ from card to card. The important part here is that whatever effect the constellation ability provides will be triggered every time it or another enchantment enters the battlefield under your control. Any enchantment can trigger this ability, which means that even if you play a bestow creature without paying the bestow cost, the ability is still triggered. With the number of enchantments (including Enchantment Creatures) in Theros, you should have no problem triggering your constellation abilities often.
Strive — <cardname> costs <some mana cost> more to cast for each target beyond the first.
Just like constellation will vary by card, strive will have a different cost for each card that has it. Cards with strive will allow you to choose multiple targets for their abilities. For each target you choose after the first, you will have to pay whatever the strive cost on the card is. Let's say you wanted to target three creatures with Ajani's Presence. The first target only costs you the you paid to cast it. The second target will cost you an additional as will the third. So in total, you'll end up paying in total to target 3 creatures to receive +1/+1 and gain indestructible until end of turn.
This new mechanic will work great with the Heroic ability first introduced in Theros. You can cast a card with Strive and target every one of your cards with Heroic (as long as you have enough mana). Then, each card will get their heroic ability as well as the ability from the strive card. What a deal!
